Recently retrieved from
the estate of James & Margaret Mortimer of Rothesay New Brunswick, Canada,
we are thrilled to be able to offer this wonderful period Victorian era
bronze... signed (with maker's mark) by artist George Van Der Straeten
who was Belgian and lived from 1856 to 1928... after researching Mr. Van Der
Straeten's work, we have noted that his pieces have previously sold for
several thousands of dollars each... but... as we were able to acquire this
beauty reasonably we are able to pass the opportunity forward and offer at
an extremely attractive price... this gorgeous bronze has an extremely dark
(almost black) patina and is presented on a piece of black marble... in
excellent condition with just a few very small chips in the marble base...
truly a timeless classic and one of a kind investment... measures

What an Incredible piece of art. Solid
Cast Bronze Mystical Equestrian fountain. 4 massive horses with mermaid
tails. This is a massive piece definitely a statement maker that will turn
heads and get people talking! . Water is re-circulated from the base to the
4 horses. The fountain measures Approx 84" Tall x 84" Wide x 60" Deep.
Absolutely incredible detail Solid Cast Bronze. This piece weighs in at
around 800lbs when crated At some time in this fountains life it has had
a couple spots professionally repaired on 2 of the horses legs but displays
wonderfully! Because of the huge price reduction on this beautiful piece it
is being sold as is with no warranties.
